Our 2nd PopUp dinner and it was all sorts of amazing. Yes this is an all white event, yes you bring and decorate your own table and yes it is so worth it and so much fun!
The idea of of PopUp Events started with Garrett and Nicole of Hand Made Events in 2011 while they were living just north of San Francisco. The first event in San Francisco was a success, drawing over 3,500 people dressed all in white to picnic under the stars. Their vision to emphasize the beauty of the location and to bring people together over diner went far beyond their own initial expectations, and that evening in San Francisco continues to inspire them as the Pop Up Dinners expand and grow in cities across the U.S.
I was responsible for our table scape, I went with a romantic theme, filled with metallics and pretty tones of pinks. For our plates and cups we used modern party goods by Harlow & Grey.
When brainstorming ideas for the table scape I wanted to stay true to the all of us in attendance. Our styles and aesthetics.
Florals were made by me. I used pretty soft pink roses, dahlias, calcynia's, veronicas and rich marsala colored amaranths, allium bullets. Also a handful of other fresh foliage and flowers to add to the rich romantic colors.
what i loved
- Something about everyone dressed in white, the crisp sf air and not to mention amazing weather! We got lucky!
- This year we used door dash to deliver our food. (smartest idea ever!!) By rolling in your meals you have to think of something that can be served cold. We avoided that. However we did bring our own dessert, drinks and coffee!
- The ambiance, the pretty lights and in good company was all so magical and much needed!
